Journal of Emerging Computer Research and Applications

Alborear Journals is prohibited from taking into account any form of plagiarism in the publication by publication policy. Plagiarism is an impolite behaviour that is also punishable. At any point, if we discover plagiarism in the manuscript, we notify the author right away and request any additional revisions that may be necessary; if not, the manuscript submission is rejected as a result.

How to handle plagiarism
  • The submitted manuscript is checked for plagiarism using the Plagiarism Detector programme; if the amount of plagiarism is above 10%, the decision to need revision is conveyed to the author right away.

  • If there is less than 10% plagiarism, the work will move through with the publication process.

  • To maintain the standard and quality of the manuscript, we conduct another plagiarism check before the final publication. If plagiarism is discovered once more at this point, the author will be asked for another round of revisions.

To handle a plagiarism case, a certain procedure is used. The Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) flowcharts serves as the Alborear Journal's rules of conduct.

When a manuscript has been published and plagiarism is suspected
  • The person who alerted us of the situation is told of the procedure to be followed.

  • The manuscripts are compared to determine the level of plagiarism.

  • All journal editors are notified and requested for their feedback.

  • Documentary evidence of the instance of plagiarism and a request for comment is sent to the relevant author of the in question manuscript.

  • If the authors are proven to have plagiarised.

  • The authors of the plagiarised work are notified, as well as the editor of the journal where the original manuscript was published.

  • The manuscript is removed from its online version.

  • For four years, no manuscripts by any of the affected authors shall be published by the journal(s).
